The event marked a meaningful beginning for the newly admitted batch of aspiring naturopathic physicians. \nThe ceremony began with the Lighting of Kuthuvilakku\, followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu and a Pranayama session\, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere. \nDr. Ajitha\, Department of Emergency Medicine\, delivered the Welcome Address. This was followed by a presentation on SMCNY’s milestones by the Principal\, Dr. Dharmasamvardhini. An Introductory Note on Naturopathy was presented by Dr. Chunchu Sandeep\, CMO\, emphasizing the relevance of holistic healing in today’s healthcare system. \nMr. Thyagu Valliappa\, Vice-Chairman and Managing Trustee\, delivered the Inaugural Address and highlighted Sona’s mission to integrate technology with traditional wellness systems for a sustainable healthcare future. \nThe Chief Guest\, Dr. K. Narayanasamy\, Vice-Chancellor\, The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University\, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of preventive and integrative healthcare. The Guest of Honour\, Dr. Pugalenthi\, District Siddha Medical Officer\, motivated the students to uphold values of humanity\, discipline\, and dedication in their professional journey. \nThe prestigious White Coat Ceremony was conducted as a symbolic first step into the medical profession. This was followed by the 6th Batch Naming Ceremony\, where the new batch was officially named “Agastya”. \nSports achievers in Hockey\, Silambam\, and Gymnastics\, along with Academic Distinction holders\, were honoured with awards. \nThe Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Vasanthi Balamurugan\, Dean\, SMCNY. \nAs part of the celebrations\, a Tree Plantation Ceremony and the Inauguration of the Multispeciality Sports Ground were held\, reflecting Sona’s commitment to sustainability and physical wellness. \nThe cultural performances that followed showcased the creative talents of students in music\, dance\, and yoga formations. \nThe 6th Freshers’ Day Celebration stood as a perfect blend of tradition\, inspiration\, and festivity — a memorable beginning for our new naturopathic healers.

The speaker effectively covered various aspects of skin care\, highlighting key factors that contribute to a glowing complexion. The presentation was informative and engaging\, offering practical tips and advice for achieving healthy\, glowing skin. The speaker’s expertise and enthusiasm made the topic accessible and interesting to the audience. The festivities began at 4:00 PM with traditional ceremonies\, including a Vinayagar Pooja\, Lightning of the Lamp\, Prayer Song\, and Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu.  Dr. Dharmasamvarddhini S\, Principal (i/c) of SMCNY\, welcomed the attendees and presented the college’s 4th Annual Report. Mr. Thyagu Valliappa\, Vice-Chairman of Sona Institutions and Managing Trustee of SMCNY\, delivered the presidential address. He highlighted the Sona Gramam – Wellness Center\, the benefits of Pranayama\, and future placement opportunities for students. \nThe event was graced by Dr. P. S. Panneerselvam\, Founder-Chairman of Shanmuga Group of Institutions\, who served as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour included Prof. Dr. B. Usha\, Dean of Annapoorana Medical College & Hospitals\, Salem; Dr. R. Vetrivendan\, Siddha Medical Officer\, Sub District Hospital\, Vembadithalam\, Salem; and Sri. C. Valliappa\, Chairman of Sona Institutions. Sri. C. Valliappa shared a personal testament to the impact of yoga in his life\, and all the esteemed guests spoke about their experiences with Naturopathy and Yoga. A highlight of the celebration was the prize distribution to the winners of the 11th IDY Competitions\, followed by a grand cultural feast and Group Yoga Formations\, presented by the talented students of SMCNY. School and the students of SMCNY on 20.05.2025 Friday.  Students of SMCNY formed ‘SOYOGA’\, which is in the theme of Yoga for All.  Dr. Dharmasamvarddhini S\, Principal (i/c) welcomed the gathering.  The Presidential Address was given by Mr. Thyagu Valliappa\, Vice Chairman\, Sona Institutions & Managing Trustee\, SMCNY. Mr. A. R. Vithunkumar\, Inspector of Police\, Govt. of Tamil Nadu\, Attayampatti Police Station\, Salem\, was the Chief Guest; Dr. S.
